You probably would get the prize for the powerball, but you wouldn’t get the multiplier.

Would it be better odds to buy $20 worth of scratch-off tickets as opposed to $20 worth of Powerball tickets? I know the odds of Powerball are astronomical; scratch off odds are something like 1:3.4. So is that a better deal or chance? What if the tickets were 10 $2 tickets?
Depends how you measure it.
You’ve got a much better chance of winning something on scratch tickets than the powerball, but your top prize is obviously much smaller.
Of course, taking the $20 and betting it on Red or Black on roulette has much better odds than the scratch offs… but again, the top prize is lower (only $20 on that bet)
Only you can decide how much going for that top prize is worth to you
