I work at an apartment community and we are having a contest for the residents. It’s been difficult to say the least, getting the residents involved. So, I really wanted to get some ideas for prizes from a bunch of people. Serious please!
Also, we are a bit of a cash strapped property, so any tips for getting the donations I’m going to ask for would be greatly appreciated.

I’d recommend things like spa packages for women, or gym certificates, specialty food shops, or area shops where ppl in your bdg shop. You will need to show the companies you’re appealing to that this is a benefit for them: a while apartment building’s worth of ppl will first of all become familiar with the company, a good experience will ensure personal recommendations, free publicity for them, build community ties.

For my 16th b-day party i am having a new york themed party and i am going to do competitions for door prizes. my party is semi-formal and want some really cool stuff for guys and girls to do while they are dressed up. I need some ideas. Also what should some of the door prizes be?

I’ve been to different showers that did different things. One shower i was at, everyone won baby stuff (monitors, clothes…) and everyone gave what they won to the new mommy! I’ve been to another one where you won baby bottles full of jelly beans, and the other one i’ve been to i can’t remember what the prizes were. What would you do for prizes for the games we play at the shower?
And do you have any ideas about favors?

It’s totally up to you. I’ve been to some where the prizes were lotions, spa stuff, video rental gift cards, even starbucks gift cards.

Seriously. Why have soda companies stopped putting prizes on the bottom of soda caps, and replaced them with a code that is not worth the hassle of typing online?

So you have to go to the website and see more advertising…

Also, with the hassle of entering codes via the website, the company probably saves money because people don’t bother with the game.

If there was a online competition started that offered prizes and money awards would that be something to motivate you to lose weight? Would you sign up? If there was just a small fee to enter would you still do it? Fees would go to site up keep and prizes money. There would be sponsors from brands and companies. Please let me know! Be honest and be respectful to others!

However legitimate the competition is in itself, there would have to be some face-to-face interaction to keep competitors from cheating, abusing their bodies or otherwise falsifying their results.
And no, I probably would not enter.

Webkinz just released jumbleberry fields and polarberry jam and said there is 50 prizes with them. Anyone have any info or pictures of the prizes?
