How much would I have to spend on the lottery to have a guaranteed return?

How many tickets would I have to buy to get a guaranteed return playing the lottery?
Not necessarily winning the jackpot, but say if I brought £200 of tickets, how much would I win back?
Each number sequence, in the region of £14,000,000+. And you would have to have a worthwhile jackpot – which hopefully wouldn’t be shared!..

Only buy as much as you can afford to lose! You could spend £14 million and still never win

Well, I think the odds of winning anything are abuot 57 to 1.
So, if there are 14,000,000 possible combinations, then there are around 250,000 possible winning combinations.
That being the case, to be ‘guaranteed’ and not just likely, you would have to buy everyone one losing combination before then next is guaranteed, so around 13,750,000 tickets, but you only be guaranteed around £60 so a very bad investment!

the answer is none as there is no guarantee even if you put a million pound on as it all a gamble,do not loose more than you can afford if you intend to try it,

There are no guaranteed profits. Not even if you buy every combination of every ticket 13,983,816 combinations, £13,983,816. From a single lottery you will lose out as half the money earned from ticket sales is kept by the organisers and so doesn’t go into the prize fund. And you may have to share the winnings with other winners. So you may have to wait for a sufficient roll-overs to give a prize fund >£13,983,816 and hope that nobody else wins the main prizes.

There is no guarantee no matter how much you spend. Ways to increase your chances is to form a Lottery pool with others-then share the money if one of many purchased tickets does win.
