How many baby shower prizes should I have?
I’m in charge of door prizes and games. My question is how many gifts for guests should I have? There are about 35 people attending. We aren’t doing favors, just nice prizes for whoever wins.
Clarification: WE ARE NOT doing a prize for each person. These are nice prizes, and the momma is very eco friendly and wouldn’t want to give out junk gifts so that we can afford for everyone to have something. I can’t spend $700 on prizes. Just wondering what the odds should be of winning a prize – how many prizes to have total if there are 35 people.
I would say enough for one prize for each plus one big one. Make them small prizes. Dollar store for 35 prizes and then a big door prize. Not everyone will get a prize but sometimes there are left over and you can let them take them as they leave.

Well if you are just doing nice ones. Maybe 10 decent ones and a large one.
You can still find some good deals at a local dollar store items discontinued or from store buy outs.

4 or 5 maybe… dont make it so that everyone wins something, just make the prizes for people who win games and stuff..

depends on how many games you are playing–and always add in an extra 4 just in case there are some ties =)

We did two door prizes, and the rest depended on how many games we played generally one for each.

We had nicer more practical prizes at mine as well. We only had one prize per game. If there were ties then there was a quick mini game between the winners to see who received the prize. Some of the quick mini games were who could complete a baby word search first, who could diaper the doll blindfolded first, and who could identify three baby food flavors blindfolded first. It was fun to watch the ties race against each other for their prize.

Decide how many games you are going to play.
Decide if they have teams or individual winners. (4 people on a two or 2) etc…
Prizes only for 1st place?
And see if any of the games or activities don’t have winners – like sharing advice games, bridal shower survey games (ice breakers)
Example:
4 games
3 games with winers
2 games 1 winner and 1 team games 3 to 4 per team.
So you need 6 prizes – plus always good to have an extra prize just in case it is needed.
