The Pick 3 Lottery offers the player one thousand winning sets of 3-digit numbers ranging from 000 to 999. These numbers are drawn by a computer generated device or through three mechanical devices, one for each of the three digits. Each machine holds ten (10) separate balls each one numbered 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0.

As a Pick 3 Lotto player, each set of the three digit drawn Pick 3 number can be played to match the exact order, called “Straight” play or played to match the three digits in any order, namely “Box” play. There is also a play known as Combination Ticket where the player plays his/her Pick 3 number both Straight and Box on the same Ticket. These are the most common plays offered by all Pick 3 lotteries.

Each State sets the payouts independently of each other. Except for the pari-mutuel system that divides all the wager money equally among all the winning ticket holders much like the racetracks do.

Generally, for one $1 wager one Straight win pays $500.

The Box ticket payout has two categories. The first category is when all three digits are different, referred as “6-way”….123, 345, 789, etc, with a payout of $80 for one $1 Box ticket. The second category is when two of the three digits match, referred as “3-way”….112, 343, 788, etc (known as a “double”). The payout for this category is $160 for one $1 Box ticket.

The other wagers for Pick 3 numbers are known as “Pair Bets” where you wager on the exact order of the first two digits (front pair) or the last two digits (back pair).

The “Sum Bet” wagers on the total of all three digits with payouts based on the totals coming out with these Pick 3 number combination. They range from “0″ for “000″ to “27″ for “999″.

A collection of photographs which have won the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography from 1961 to 2007. The collection has 27 photos and obviously don’t have all winner photos. Pulitzer prizes for press phtography are given in two categories: Breaking news photography and Feature phptography. More info can be obtained from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulitzer_Prize

In the later years, the award is mostly given to a collection of photographs covering a story rather than a single one. In such cases I chose the photo which I found most appealing for various reasons. For example, while the photo of a medical technician weeping at the funeral of his collegue who died in the 9/11 (2002) was chosen for its deep emotion, the photo of a dog feeding on a human corpse in New Orleans (2006) was chosen for its shock value.

Konami exhibited “World Soccer Winning Eleven 2009″, the latest version in the Winning Eleven series of games, at the Tokyo Game Show 2008.

The operation methods, AI, player motions, and other areas were renovated from the existing series and improvements were made to video and audio expressions to achieve significantly improved quality as a soccer game.

Based on a license agreement formed between Konami and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the new version features a “UEFA Champions League” mode in which the tournament anthems, official balls, and even uniforms are faithfully reproduced.

Release of the new version is scheduled for November 27, 2008 for PlayStation and Xbox 360, and the new version will be made available at a later date for PSP and Wii systems.
